- If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place. If wealth is lost, nothing is lost. If health is lost, something is lost. But, if character is lost, everything is lost. People with courage and character always seem sinister to the rest. A person with character cannot be swayed by temptations or threats. Such a person becomes powerful and feared. No matter what you've done for yourself or for humanity, if you can't look back on having given love and attention to your own family, what have you really accomplished?
